CMMC Readiness and Compliance

Prepare for CMMC Level 1 or CMMC Level 2

Whether you are encountering CMMC for the first time, preparing for Level 1 or facing more extensive Level 2 requirements, BrickTech can help you understand where you stand and what needs to happen next.

What Is CMMC?

CMMC, or Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, is a Department of Defense program for assessing whether defense contractors and subcontractors have implemented required protections for Federal Contract Information and Controlled Unclassified Information.

The required CMMC level and assessment type are identified in the applicable solicitation, contract or subcontract.

CMMC includes three levels, with requirements based on the information an organization’s systems process, store or transmit.

Understanding CMMC Levels 1 and 2

CMMC Level 1 addresses the basic safeguarding of Federal Contract Information through 15 security requirements from FAR 52.204-21.

CMMC Level 2 addresses the broader protection of Controlled Unclassified Information through the 110 security requirements in NIST SP 800-171 Revision 2.

BrickTech supports organizations preparing for either level, including those encountering CMMC for the first time and those moving from Level 1 to Level 2.

Who Is This For?

This page is for defense contractors, subcontractors, and businesses that are being asked about CMMC or want to understand their current cybersecurity readiness.

It may be useful if a solicitation, contract, customer or prime contractor references CMMC; your organization handles or may handle Federal Contract Information or Controlled Unclassified Information; you are preparing for Level 1 or Level 2; or you are unsure which requirements apply.

Check your CMMC readiness in under 5 minutes in 5 easy steps.

This five-minute checklist provides a preliminary look at your Level 1 readiness. It can help identify foundational gaps, whether you need Level 1 or are beginning the more extensive process of preparing for Level 2.

This checklist does not measure Level 2 readiness. A Level 2 readiness review requires a detailed evaluation of all 110 security requirements.

This is not a formal audit or certification. It is a starting point to help identify whether your business may have gaps that should be reviewed.

What Your Readiness Grade Means

A higher number suggests your business has many foundational practices in place. A moderate or limited result (<80%) indicates that your business has gaps, missing documentation, or areas that should be reviewed before responding to CMMC-related requests.

Your result is intended as a starting point. It is not a formal audit, certification, or guarantee of compliance.
